You can easily let deliver your desired model to a Schindelhauer dealer. They will do the final assembling and fine tune it to your needs.


b) delivery to a desired address

If you do not have a Schindelhauer dealer nearby, you can let send your bike directly to your home. The bike is delivered nearly full assembled. In compliance with the manual you only have to pump-up the tires with the appropriate air pressure, mount the pedals and straighten the handlebars.

Wilhelm - The Flagship

At the heart of Schindelhauer’s new vanguard bicycle - the Wilhelm - lies a Pinion gearbox. Nine, twelve or eighteen evenly spaced gear ratios, giving a gear range totalling 636%, the current pinnacle in shifting. Every gear conveys the immediacy of a single speed transmission, while the centrally-mounted gearbox creates a low centre of gravity and high stability. Equipped with exclusive CNC-machined disc brakes by Trickstuff, a Brooks saddle and a Gates’ CenterTrack System, the Wilhelm can be fully customised by customers.

  • Pinion P1 18 - eighteen spur gear  


    The Pinion P1.18 is a spur gear with two successive partial transmissions and 18 evenly spaced ratios. It is extremely compact and light and offers a real alternative to derailleur gears. 
You fancy a mountain goat or road racer? Pinion serves both as any desired gear is available in the blink of an eye. For the perfect balance, the nearly maintenance-free gear is mounted centrally within the Schindelhauer-frame and combined with the Gates CenterTrackTM system that means only one thing: pure riding enjoyment.


  • Schindelhauer - aluminium frame


    If a bike ought to be equipped with a drive belt, it must have a frame with a stiff tail providing a high strength. Aluminium is ideally suited as material for component design of stiff bicycle frames due to achieving big cross sections at low weight. That’s why Schindelhauer Bikes has carefully chosen this non-ferrous-metal. High-quality 6061 aluminum is used to manufacture all frames. A maximum stiffness is achieved by T6-hot-age hardening every single frame. The Aero-tube set is triple butted and a fine compromise between lightweight design and durability. After welding the tubes by using the TIG welding process, every single weld is polished. The so-called “smooth-welding” does not only make a good visual impression, but also alleviates the stress concentration and improves the fatigue strength of the frame. A Schindelhauer Bike will give you pleasure for a long time- that’s our main objective. The appearance is flawless due to the installed cable pulleys, the integrated headset and seat clamp all within the frame. The forged dropout connects the self-developed SBP- Schindelhauer-Belt-Port as well as the Crocodile clamping system. Now the frame is ready to be fitted with the Gates™- Drive Belt.



  • Schindelhauer  slider-belt-tensioning-system


    Two guided slides serve as the attachment for the rear-wheel. By use of the forward tilted opening axis mounts, the belt is automatically brought into its initial preset tension while mounting the wheels. A finely brushed stainless steel plate covers all clamping screws which fix the slides into place. Despite the concentration of technology in such confined spaces, we have achieved a clean look. Two adjusting screws serve for the adjustment of the belt tension and the alignment of the rear-wheel.



  • Center Track - belt drive system


    Smoothly and quietly riding down the street- only listening to the sweet sound of the noise on the road. Alone the advantages of the belt drive system can make this experience come true. By applying the revolutionary Carbon Drive Technology made and developed by Gates™, carbon fibres are embedded in a polyurethane material, thus enabling the belt drive to outplay the chain. The belt’s superior technological advantages - low noise and zero maintenance - are truly irresistible. Extensive testing of the belt drive has shown that due to the applied high-strength carbon fibre, there is not even the slightest evidence of stretching, which forces you to replace drive components and is commonly observed when using standard chains. Consequently, the belt drive lasts much longer than standard chains and has an expected running performance of approximately 20,000 km (13,670 Miles). All rear-pulleys are exclusively manufactured from hardened steel to guarantee an extensive durability. The patented Mud Ports™ shed even the worst types of debris and keep the state of the art belt drive system in ideal function. Additional testing has revealed that the belt drive is as efficient as a chain. Particularly in the longer term it gives proof of its superior technology advantages to shed all types of debris and wear and to require low maintenance, whereas chains are reduced in their level of efficiency. It is the only drive system that is completely lubricant and maintenance-free. On top of this you can enjoy the freedom of riding your bike without any chain guard or ever having to roll up your trousers again. For putting the belt under tension, the Crocodile-Clamping-System has been developed and patented by Schindelhauer. Apart from ideal functionality, we focus just as much on balanced looks. That’s why all frames are equipped with the also patented Schindelhauer Belt-Port-Technology. This feature does not affect the stiffness of the rear triangle in any way and integrates all technical components smoothly into the design of the bike. Watch out! The new generation of carbon belt drives is called into action at Schindelhauer bikes. Applying the CenterTrack™ Drive Belt System, a central fin runs in a track molded into the center of the belt which actually enables the belt to repel dirt and mud better than ever. The drive belt has been widened and therefore has an increased stiffness, resulting in driving with much less belt tension. As a result the system-integrity as well as the transmission has been improved. Additionally, both pulleys are reduced in weight. As a consequence the most-lightweight drive belt system ever has been engineered - the CenterTrack™. 


  • Schindelhauer belt port


    We like the idea of the drive belt blending in with the back frame tri-angle. Unfortunately, the laws of physics prevent that option. Due to Schindelhauer’s patent pending SBP-System the opening is well hidden and changing your drive belt is an easy task. A fixed connection between seat and chain stay is achieved by applying Schindelhauer’s positively spool piece in wave form, which reflects the design of the drive belt. It can easily be removed and reinstalled. By applying a continuous screw connecting all components, the original stiff state is restored and it looks as if nothing has ever been changed. No more annoying combinations of transmissions or screw connections affecting your eyesight- only the pure aesthetics of the invisible remain. If it involves a Schindelhauer Bike, this application goes visibly unnoticed. We are very proud of that.



  • Brooks Swallow - leather saddle


    It doesn’t get any more classy than this. For decades, bike-connoisseurs have been appreciating this core leather saddle made in England. Once broken in, you can count on this saddle for a lifetime, even if you took it to the end of the world. The B15 Chrome is Brooks’ exclusive sports-saddle. Thanks to the clamp installed beneath the seat, this sleek saddle will keep its shape for a long time.



  • Schindelhauer - ergo grips


    The ergonomic shaped handles provide a direct link to your wheel and make every single ride a pure delight. The big locating surfaces provide a maximum feeling of comfort due to a well balanced pressure distribution. Both handles are securely clamped and kept twist-proof at the handlebar with clamping rings. The brown shining core leather lies comfortable in the hand and reflects the saddle color. In that way design and functionality are perfectly united again.



  • Schindelhauer - urban pedal


    Pedal in style – On our quest for the perfect pedal, we developed the Urban-Pedal. With its flat outline and slip-proof 3M-SafetyWalk tread, a safe stand and ideal force transmission is provided at all times. The light, CNC-shaped pedal is high-end equipped with a CrMo Axle, a sealed bearing and an IGUS plain bearing. Furthermore, it can be combined with our pedal hook set and our pedal straps. 



  • Trickstuff Cleg 4 - disc brake system


    CNC –art “Made in Germany” – Designed for tough downhill-application, the two-piston brake Cleg 4 is just the right choice for decelerating our premium model Ludwig XVIII. This particular brake just doesn’t leave any unsatisfied wishes –innovative flow system, adjustable reach to adapt to the preference of a demanding driver and Goodridge steel hoses that ensure a hard pressure point. All components are elaborately CNC-shaped in Freiburg, which is evidence for the high quality standards that have been employed in this gem of a brake.



  • Tange - integrated headset


    The main thrust of all Schindelhauer Bikes is reduction by means of system integration. Even the headset won’t be spared. The cartridge chamber made by Tange is fully integrated and shines due to the waist shaped head tube. The entire bike seems to be flawless due to the smooth transition of bicycle fork and stem. Besides, the bearings are ideally protected against dust and debris.



  • Schwalbe Kojak - tyre


    With its baldness and volume, the slick “Kojak” by Schwalbe is a perfect match for our radically equipped Ludwig XVII. Its home is the street and as a folding tire, it shines through lightness and the 35 mm width guarantees comfort. Its safety is ensured by reflective labels and a RaceGuard protective-belt.

Being sporty doesn´t mean less comfort. We have successfully managed to combine both features- sportiveness and comfort- with the Ludwig geometry. To achieve this, we took the geometry of our tough singlespeed frame and carefully modified it by relocating the bottom brackets slightly lower and applying a slightly extended headtube and fork to compensate for the increased saddle height. Along with the extended headtube all Ludwig-series bikes provide a relaxed and suitable touring seating position.
