Awarded by renowned design experts and decision-makers from the bicycle industry, Gustav stands for the well thought-out concept of the functional, aesthetically sophisticated everyday bicycle. In the course of the relaxed frame geometry and seating position as well as comfortable tyres, short distances in the city can be managed just as comfortably as extended tours. Another highlight is the frame-mounted front rack with VarioStrap system, which keeps the load securely in place.

Enough clearance for large-volume tyres, sufficient loading height for the front carrier and a relaxed riding position were the goals when developing the geometry for Gustav. The low bottom bracket and long head tube achieved just that. Even cobblestone paths become a new favourite shortcut with this riding comfort.

6061 aluminium frame

Stable, robust and yet a true lightweight - the frame with sloping geometry is made of high-quality 6061 aluminium. The smoothed weld seams using the "flat-welding" process are a visual highlight.

Frame-mounted front rack

Due to the mounting on the frame, the steering behaviour remains agile even with larger loads. An integral part of the carrier concept are the innovative tensioning straps (VarioStraps), which can be individually adapted to the size and shape of the load.

Designed for Gates Carbon Drive

The patented Belt Port, an almost invisible opening at the dropout, makes it possible to change the belt drive. The carriage tensioning system is used for optimal adjustment of the belt tension.

Whether extended tours with climbs or speedy tailwind passages, the Shimano Nexus 8-speed transmission offers enough leeway with a spread of 307%. Shift and brake levers are optimally integrated in the tidy cockpit and easy to reach. The high-quality rubber grips ensure optimum grip even on uneven terrain.

Being low maintenance and ultra-quiet due to the pawl-free design, the Shimano Nexus is also a perfect match for our quiet belt drive. Gears are easily and precisely engaged with the rapid-fire shifter.

Where and how can I buy a Schindelhauer bike?

There are two options for buying a Schindelhauer bike: 1. delivery directly to your home: If you cannot find a Schindelhauer specialist dealer near you via our dealer search, you can also have your desired model delivered directly to your home. The bicycle comes almost completely assembled. When setting up the bicycle yourself, please follow the instructions in the manual as well as the instructions for regular maintenance and care. Take your bicycle to a specialist workshop for regular inspection. We generally recommend, especially for e-bikes, that you have your bike assembled at a Schindelhauer specialist dealer or a specialist bicycle shop in your area. 2. online purchase and delivery to a Schindelhauer dealer of your choice (Euro zone only): On request we can have your bike delivered to one of our dealers at no additional cost. This dealer will professionally assemble the bike for you free of charge and will make it available for collection by arrangement.
