Shipping Bicycles

Cost: We ship our bikes through our freight forwarder Rieck/IDS within Germany for free (excluding islands). The costs outside Germany are calculated per bike as follows:

There are two options available for you to receive your bike:

Option 1: Direct shipment to you at a specified address

Delivery Time: Delivery usually takes 2-3 work days within Germany and 2-7 days outside of Germany. Please note that the courier generally only delivers on work days, not on weekends or holidays.

Tracking: We will send you an email confirmation including a link with a tracking number when your item has been dispatched. The courier will arrange a delivery time with you in advance by phone.

Scope of Delivery: Our bicycles are 95% pre-assembled: you only need to mount the pedals and align the handlebars. A manual is enclosed in the bike box. Please note that accessories such as mudguards are shipped separately with UPS.

For mainland USA we use a "repack" carton, which is smaller in size. We suggest having the bike set up at a bicycle workshop.

Option 2: Delivery to a dealer of your choice (Eurozone only)

A preffered choice would be to have your bike delivered to one of our dealers at no extra cost. They will professionally assemble it for you free of charge; you can arrange to pick it up whenever you want. You can also arrange for the dealer to mount accessories such as mudguards or pannier racks for a service fee; details on this can be discussed with the dealer, who can also consult you if you have further requests.

Shipping Parts and Accessories

Our accessories are shipped (and insured) with UPS within Germany and Europe. Shipping costs depend on the value of the item including VAT, and are displayed in the checkout basket before the order is dispatched:

For dangerous goods (e.g. single LiPo batteries) an additional surcharge of 35€ will be applied.

We will send you an email confirmation including a link with a tracking number when your item has been dispatched.

Insurance / Shipping Damage

Parts & Accessories: All of our parcels are insured during the delivery process. When you receive your parcel, please inspect the box and content carefully for damage. Visible scratches, defects and damage should be reported within 24 hours by email at info@schindelhauerbikes.de.

Bike boxes: When your bike arrives, please check the box thoroughly before signing. Damaged boxes should not be accepted. Boxes with visible dents or scratches, or boxes that were not delivered in an upright position must be noted and countersigned by the courier in the delivery confirmation, and must be reported within 24 hours by email at info@schindelhauerbikes.de.

Returns

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days. If you are returning goods from outside Germany you will have to bear the direct cost. Returns from within Germany are free of cost, provided that you use the return label attached in the envelope on the package. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more details.
